Details

The Cabeca Veada is a light beige / whitish coloured limestone, with uniform background and medium hardness. It presents a brown coloured grain, whose main variations can go from thin to medium.

It accepts well a good range of finishings, such as polished, honed, bush-hammered, sandblasted, scratched and others. This is a preferential limestone to be used on interior flooring, some decoration, masonry and diverse stone-work.

The Cabeca Veada is extracted near the village of Cabeca Veada - Portugal. There are few quarries with considerable dimension extracting this limestone, where blocks can have any dimension.

This is considered by many as the most important alternative to the Moleanos limestone, due to its similar appearance and medium hardness. It has an increasing demand on the international market, particularly because of its similarity to the Moleanos Fine.
